The price of TON Coin (TON), the digital currency associated with Telegram, fell below $5 on Tuesday, hitting a 4-month low.The cost drop comes after the capture of Wire originator and CEO Pavel Durov in France.Over the past 24 hours, the price of TonCoin has dropped 4.1% to $4.95, a 26% drop over the past two weeks. The asset’s market cap has reached $12.4 billion and it has been removed from the top 10 digital currencies. Durov's arrest, along with the recent network outage, has worsened the price decline even further. About 70% of TonCoin holders are currently suffering losses. Despite a 166% price growth over the past year, the project is facing challenges in terms of growth and ecosystem development. Experts believe that ToonCoin needs to focus more on technical solutions to attract developers.
