Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced that the exchange completed the first cryptocurrency transaction between AI bots on August 30 (September 9). In this transaction, an AI bot used digital currency tokens to purchase AI tokens from another bot. Armstrong believes that the ability of AI agents to complete transactions could be a game changer since these agents currently cannot perform useful tasks on their own. He also mentioned that AI agents can complete transactions with humans, vendors, and other AIs. Other companies like Skyfire and Biconomy are also developing platforms that allow artificial intelligence to perform financial transactions.
