According to unconfirmed reports on social media and in the press, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has been arrested in France on multiple charges related to the social media platform’s activities. Durov was reportedly arrested as his plane landed at a French airport and faces charges of terrorism, smuggling, conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering. Following this yet-to-be-confirmed news, the value of Telegram’s TON digital currency has dropped by more than 10% to $6.07 from its peak of $6.86 on August 24.
