Voters who own cryptocurrencies are 12% more likely to support Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University. The findings come after Trump and his newfound ally Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently endorsed digital currencies. The poll shows digital currency holders favor Trump 50% to Kamala Harris 38%. Meanwhile, the Reuters/Ipsos public poll has Harris at 45%, ahead of Trump at 41%.
Dan Cassino, executive director of the university poll, argued that support for digital currencies could attract voters who would otherwise lean toward Democrats. Trump recently announced himself as a pro-cryptocurrency candidate and called for making the United States the “crypto capital of the world.”
