Telegram CEO Pavel Durov could be released as early as Wednesday, French prosecutors said. However, users of the crypto betting site Polymarket are not so sure about his release in August and are more likely to bet on Durov’s release before the end of September. Durov has not yet been formally charged and was arrested as part of an investigation into possible crimes on Telegram, including money laundering and drug trafficking. According to Polymarket statistics, 72% of forecasters are betting on the possibility of a release before the beginning of October (October 10). Durov was arrested on August 24 (3rd Shahrivar) and could remain in custody until August 28 (7th Shahrivar), although it is possible that his detention could be extended.
