French authorities have extended the pretrial arrest warrant against Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, who was arrested at Paris’ Le Bourget airport on Saturday. The investigating judge in Durov’s case extended his pretrial detention on Sunday evening, according to The Guardian newspaper. The initial detention period can last up to 96 hours, according to the report. After this period, the judge can decide to release Durov or detain him for a longer period.
