Coinbase Supports Polygon Token Upgrade from MATIC to POL

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced that it will support the planned upgrade of the Polygon Ethereum Layer 2 network token from MATIC to the new Polygon ecosystem token (POL). Coinbase will begin transferring the Polygan token from MATIC to POL starting August 26 (September 5). During the migration, sending and receiving MATIC will be disabled on the Paligan network from August 26 to September 10. Coinbase also plans to support POL on the Ethereum network by September 4. Customers who staked MATIC on Coinbase will continue to receive rewards.
