BlackRock and Grayscale Own About 3% of Bitcoin’s Circulating Supply


According to data from SoSo Value, U.S.-based Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a net inflow of $202.6 million on August 26 (September 5). BlackRock’s IBIT fund led the way with a net inflow of $224.06 million and a total inflow value of $20.93 billion, representing 1.81% of Bitcoin’s circulating supply. Grayscale’s GBTC Bitcoin ETF still holds 1.15% of Bitcoin’s supply despite outflows of $19.73 billion. With an outflow of $8.33 million, Fidelity’s FBTC still has a total value of $9.88 billion. ARKB and BITB also have a cumulative value of $2.53 and $2.03 billion, respectively. Notably, BlackRock and Grayscale together hold 2.96% of the circulating Bitcoin supply, showing the high confidence investors have in these funds.
