Binance CEO Calls for Release of US Employee Jailed in Nigeria

Binance CEO Richard Teng has called on the Nigerian government to release Tigran Gambaryan, the digital exchange’s American employee who has been imprisoned in Nigeria since February. Gambarian, a financial crimes manager at Binance, was arrested and charged with money laundering after a voluntary trip to Abuja. His health deteriorated significantly in prison, and he contracted malaria and other infections. Teng stressed that Binance is committed to resolving issues with regulators around the world and is ready to work with the Nigerian government.
