Analysts warn: S&P 500 index could be on the verge of its biggest decline since 2022

Stock market experts are warning that the S&P 500 could be on the verge of its biggest decline since 2022. Market analyst Alan Santana said in an analysis that the recent price rally is just a temporary correction in a broader downtrend. Citing technical analysis and market cycles, he predicted that the S&P 500 index would continue its downward trend after a three-week uptrend. Santana also pointed to the formation of a lower top pattern, which is usually a precursor to a lower bottom. He predicted that the S&P 500 could fall to the 0.618 Fibonacci level around 4,320. Instead, Henrik Zeberg, an American economist, predicted that the index could rise above 6,000 before falling, triggering the worst recession since the Great Depression of 1929.
